IMHO, One bar, maybe 1.5 bar depending on the tune.

does boost matter, cause i pretty sure its horsepower that tears up an engine not air pressure. 3mm headgasket should hold 500 safe

Not exactly true.

Boost matters alot. Pressure IS an engine killer. The problem is that gasoline will ignite from heat and pressure before the spark plug ignites it. This is called detonation, and it will blow head gaskets and destroy rings and pistons very quickly.

But pressure is also what makes power in an ICE. The more air/fuel you have in the chamber before you ignite the mixture the more power you'll make.

So the goal is to have the most pressure you can without having detonation. You have a teeter-totter with pressure on one side, and fuel octane on the other. The higher the octane the more pressure you can have without detonation.

Since most of us are limited to so-called "premium" pump gas that means that with the high stock compression ratio of our engines the pressure quickly overtakes the fuel octane. Using a thicker head gasket allows more boost because the static compression ratio is dropped. So you can have more air/fuel in the cylinder even though you have the same pressure.

There are many 400+whp S2000s out there and the engines are more than up to the stress.

The destroyed engine horror stories are almost always due to something breaking outside the engine or improper tuning.

with an equal lenght manifold you won't need to if its anything like marcus, youll be near 500whp.

I definitely would say pressure has a lot to do with engine health etc... but i would also say that a motor with a log manifold pushing 380 whp and 290 ft/lbs at 15 and 500 and 360ft/lbs at 16 with an equal length, the equal length, with the more torque would be putting more stress on the motor.
