speaking of exhausts, i have an Invidia Dual version 2. i dont know if i should switch to say...a J's racing 70mm single or if the dual would be alright. or maybe i should keep the invidia and get the piping switched to 3 inches opposed to 2.5 or whatever it is
I have an invidia and will be switching it out for a single one of these days. Its limiting me a good amount in the 400+ range.

Get a 3inch single and call it a day. Inlinepro makes a nice one.

You want to open the exhaust up as much as possible. Exhaust tuning downstream of a turbine is more or less a non-issue. That is, there is no magical design or brand that will provide better gains than others. The goal is to minimize the pressure downstream of the turbine, or get it as close to atmostpheric as possible. A large diameter straight single exhaust is your best bet. Smaller piping, longer piping, more bends, more restrictive mufflers, etc...these all add up to increased pressure rise through the exhaust.
