I'm at 7psi turbo right now. Would have been 10psi but my 2mm head gasket didn't arrive in time for tuning, and I didn't want to push it that far on stock compression. Next time a tuner makes a trip out to Hawaii I'll throw the headgasket on and up the boost.

It all depends really
Stock motor with stock headgasket I think 9 PSI has been proven on here.

2mm or 3mm headgasket you can up the boost to 10-15 psi.

With a good tune, good gas and good luck you might get away with a full bar (14.5 psi) if you don't beat on it. Some in the short term have pulled 600 hp or more out of this little engines stock bottom end. Long term remains to be seen and still depends on a good tune, good gas and good luck.

He wants to know what the maximum amount of boost our motors can handle, assuming the best possible tune.

With a 3mm head gasket and a good tune, I'm running 21psi. No problems so far (knock on wood)

No need to knock on wood JC, Rick has that car dialed in

I'm running 17psi on a 2mm right now with no problems. Was running 12psi on a stock motor before I added the gasket. It's all in the tune.
