How much more power would a s/c s2k have to
Turbo gives you more power early on, so turbo s2ks pull on s/c ones correct?
So two s2k's with the same whp, the turbo would pull, but how much more whp would a s/c s2k have to have to beat a turboed s2k?
I hope my question makes sense, just wondering about this.
Thanks

Theres a video on Youtube about this.
a turbo will always be faster........
the s/c has to build boost with rpm... at 6k you could be making 260hp but at 9k rpm be making 400.
The turbo'd hits max boost at like 4-5k rpm. at 6k rpm your making 320+ and 400hp on redline.
A turbo has a much better power curve then a supercharger. thats why when the 2 race each other the turbo'd car will pull much harder each shift.
The s/c shifts and loses most of its power and has to build up boost to redline again. The turbo shifts then guns it and is making max boost and yanking

The answer seems pretty straight forward, unless I'm completely off base.
But building off what deadzero stated, basically, from a roll, the HP you make between 5-6K rpm needs to just as much as the turbo makes at peak HP. That's the only way you're going to have a chance to over take a turbo S.

It's pointless to take a video and say the cars were on 5psi...we need to KNOW how much power they were putting down.
Example.
Tuned on the same dyno, both making 300whp.
That would be a true test.
The s/c will come up on the pipe quicker, but the turbo car should have a stronger area under the curve...and most s/c cars only make peak power @ peak rpm, whereas a turbo car can make peak power much sooner.
