how reliable is greddy ultimate
Hi
I'm currently running ap2 pully on my ap1 have the injectors done fuel pump and I have it tuned with a greedy ultimate emanage with a comp tech supercharger. Now my question is I want to up the boost I want to get some help with how much I should increase the boost and if its safe to have about 10psi running with the emanage ultimate. Or what would be a reliable increase
Thanks for the help

Ive run up to 20psi to date. If you have a competent tuner that's already working with you on the unit, then it doesn't really matter how much boost you run, just like the AEM or Kpro doesn't care how much boost. To me the Greddy if anything is more reliable because it still utilizes factory Honda systems. Any modification you add to the S is going to increase the variables for things to go wrong, there is no 100% feel good solution to this game you have stepped in.
So as far as the ability for the unit to tune 6, 10 or 20 psi, its all the same. The tuners settings and the other components your utilizing to support that power is whats going to have ultimately the largest factor in your successes and reliability.
A supercharger is a very strait forward and easy set up to understand and tune with a Greddy Ult, because of its predictability and repeatability in how it builds boost and how closely it follows the NA character and therefore OEM ECU programming of the car. All your doing is helping it along with more fuel in the right places, and less timing revisions in others, and letting what the ECU does already do it, rather then starting from complete scratch of a full stand alone. On a turbo car it makes a bit more sense, since there is virtually nothing about the power curve of a Turbo car to the original NA. Yet ironically Greddy makes turbo kits for this car where this device was utilized, so it is very capable in the right hands with all the same perimeter control of a full stand alone. But like any full stand alone, it still has its own set of corks or less desirable to work around. Probably the biggest complaint is the inaccuracy on some of the data log readings. That can make it challenging to dial in some aspects of the tune on the street, so the user ends up airing on more of the cautious side, and leaving some potential power on the table in some instances.

It's very reliable, but is your tuner? Does he have the Emanage experience to get it working properly?
If he's not familiar, he won't want to waste his time, or he will just half-ass it and give you a worthless tune, sort of like what Mase did when he tuned my Emanage before I decided to learn it and do it myself.
I have been running a Comptech @ 10 psi for a few years using my own Emanage tuning.

the tuner i went to is advance power house Brian.. he tuned my car with the emanage last year and i think he did a great tune i have had no problems with it, its just alot of people say how the emanage is fighting with the stock ecu and tricking it and its not good for the engine. i have been reading up the differences, and the mix reviews have me stuck thinking i dont want to make the wrong choice and end up replacing the whole engine. i actually read your post urban_DK on when u installed ur emanage and tuned it, it was very help full. im thinking of going up to 10psi too how much power were you able to get out of your car? and how manys miles or kms does ur car have?
