Default How to uninstall Vortech Supercharger to install pulley

Can someone show me how to uninstall the blower to install a new pulley. I want to install the new pulley by myself instead of taking to any shop to save money. Can anyone tell me what to do? If I can't find any info, I'm going to take it to a shop to have it done.

Un installing the blower is very easy. You should have the blower out and pulley swapped in a couple of hours. I dont have a vortech but if its anything like the SOS just losen the tension on the blower belt.Take off the oil feed and return. Unbolt blower. Swap pulley torque to spec and install everything in reverse order and torque to spec.

You dont have a copy of the instructions?

The instruction that Vortech provide is kinda hard to look at. I was wondering if anyone here have a better DIY.

Thanks

Not sure about vortech but with the Paxton blowers, you don't need to remove the blower. Hold the shaft bolt on the outlet pipe side with a wrench and crack the pulley bolt. Pull off the pulley and put new one on. Don't forget the little metal strip to hold it in place. May not help in your setup or maybe it will. That's how I've done it a few times.

You do need to remove the blower or at least pull it mostly off. The belt can't go on without pulling the blower and bracket partly off the car.
