Default HOW-TO: Wiring Hondata Boost Solenoid

I get a lot of PM's on this so I want to post up the information for all to see. Hopefully this gets into the FAQ and can be seen through a search.

You don't not need to go all the way to the ECU to wire in the MAC/Hondata solenoid. You can use the wires that go to the purge valve inside the engine bay.

On the drivers side find the big ABS unit. Theres a big wiring loom going into that...inside of that loom there is a smaller loom containing 2 wires going towards the engine block.

The wires are black and red with a yellow stripe. Snip off the connector going to the purge valve and connect up the boost controller wires to them, IIRC the wire order does not matter.

I know all AP1's have this connection and I'm assuming cable throttle AP2's do as well, not sure about the DBW AP2's.

So you don't use the purge valve? Is there anything different you need to do when you go into the K-Manage software?

No purge valve. It ain't doing much anyway.

Yes, you have to activate the boost controller in kpro. Very straightforward if you're familiar with the software.

just wondering if this only applies to Kpro? so when hooking up the boost control solenoid to these wires, it wires it into the B21 (PCS) pin?
