Default Hydrolock

Ok so i'm literally just finishing my turbo build today, messing with gauges, pouring in the oil, etc. I decide its about time i crank it over and let it idle for a minute or two. Keep in mind that the past couple days i have been cranking the engine to build up oil pressure in the lines by removing the fuel/srs and ign 15a fuses. So, to my knowledge, even though the fuel pump was on and sending pressure each time, there should be NO fuel going into the combustion chamber.

Anyways, today about 10 minutes ago, I do the same thing. I leave the fuses out and crank the engine over. I got about 2 cranks then click! At first I thought, maybe the battery could be low. Hooked up a charger tried again with no luck. Then I realized what it was. So i pulled all the spark plugs, and what do you know cyl 4 plug was wet. So I put shop rags over the spark plug holes and give her a crank.

WOW. gas from cyl 4 went ALL OVER the right side off my garage. I hurry to wipe it off my paint

So my question is: What caused this? and Did I do any harm to my engine hydrolocking it with just the starter?

I hope my injector is not bad because that would be another thing I'll have to replace from the kit I bought off this guy. It's an RC750. Could it just be the O-rings that are bad? I reused a couple so thats definately possible that one leaked.

Thanks guys

O yeah and fuel pressure has been in the lines for about 2 days now

cranking the car with plugs in is bad. Its the safest way to insure that the motor doesn't accidently start up. And it will turn over much easier without the compression of the plugs, easier on the battery and flows the oil pump just the same.

sounds like the injector may be stuck open.

RC 750's are notorious for sticking.. Junk. That's under higher fuel pressures though from what I'm heard.

ChefJ ill make sure to keep that in mind thanks. I figured that its like the same as a compression test though. It shouldn't start without the fuse in but I'm sure its better without the plugs in.

If it is just stuck open how do I fix that. I'm gonna try to get it tested at a local diesel shop hopefully. How can I get it to function properly?

Thanks again
