I rode in a 950+whp S2000 tonight

I think this whole setup sounds fishy and is a comeplte hackjob. The guy has made different statements about the cost and actual power the cars makes at different times contradicting himself. I personally would not trust some guy who works out of his garage.

BTW, good luck to anyone who wastes his money on this and the awesome warranty it comes with.

so I take it you dont have 16k, but you want this swap really bad?

LMFAO

Just out of curiosity, how would 950 hp for 3000rpm or so compare to 450-500 hp for 5500 rpm? I feel like while the Supra will be shifting a true S2k will still be revving. I have no idea, is this valid?
I've never driven in either so I cant say from first hand experience but intuition says otherwise.

even though it has 900hp for only 3k rpms, the gearing is most likly going to be different. In those 3k rpms it might be able to do, idk, 50-120mph in 1 gear where as the 5500rpms of 400hp will be able to do 55-90 (on a stock s2k 3rd gear)

I'd say the 900hp will always pull ahead (provided traction) even with the same gears.

In all honesty it has nothing to do with that. Would you trust your car with some guy out of a garage with $16,000?

All you do is hate, every post I read of yours is negative. BTW did you see that swap, that looked pretty damn clean to me.

Black Nuggett,
No disrespect taken at all, mad props out to whoever can get 700whp out of an F20, they have mad skills. Much easier to get 950 out of a 2JZ than 700 out of an F20. We have another one in the works right now and we are shooting for over 1,200whp with a little different setup.

my only suggestion here is. youd better give out driving lessons, or youll be attending alot of funerals.
95% of guys out there cant drive, let alone an s2k with 900+ wheel. an ap1 was unsafe stock, with too stiff of rear suspension, and snap oversteer being what it does consistently. now add 950 wheel, and some kid who cant drive. your talking about a car that will fry the rubber at 150 mph.
IF, you can provide the customers with a ton of traction, they may be able to keep this car on the road. but theyd better not let off if it comes loose, or they will be offroading instantly. i have alot of friends with built supras, and they are a blast. but the car is heavy and long. it goes fairly straight right through 200 mph. and yes, ive been in several that have done so. its a fun ride, and id love to have my s2k that fast, but i can drive. and have no problems sliding the car sideways over 100 mph.
so keep up the good work, but write a disclaimer when you turn these cars loose. man they are gonna ruin the roll on world. eheheh lates

Ah yes Im a hater. The fact that I point out that the mechanic changes his statements left and right and sounds sheisty makes me a hater. Good one Bob.

BTW, Regardless of what the engine looks like from the top, how do you know if everything else fits well underneath? Until you see the rest of the engine bay, dont come here pulling statements out of your behind.

I think the only one pulling statements out of his rear end is you. Have you look at the engine bay is the S, It goes strait down on the side and slopes back slightly toward the driver, if the motor fits at the top it's going fit at the bottom. It's not shaped like a fat ladies ass. The only thing that you might have to worry about is the transmission fitting in the tunnel. But transmission tunnels can easily be modified and don't mean it's a hack job. The only statement change that I know of is he lower the price from 25 g's to 16 g's what wrong with that. Even big company's like Sony change their mind on a weekly basis, just look at the Playstation 3, how many times did that change, and still is. Why would you expect a small independent shop to be any different?

Then you must either be deaf or blind (I dont mean this in a harsh manner) b/c other members have pointed out that the mechanic has made different statements about the power the car produces. But I have a great idea. Why dont we stop arguing and wait for the owners of the swaps to come post their horror stories here and make 50/50 look like Lovefab. Until then I will keep it hush hush.
