You may have seen my other thread discussing my wait on Laskey Racing. Well I think I'm just gonna get out of the F20C and go 2JZ swap, before I even put this motor in the car. My goals are too lofty for the engine I think. I have the Laskey:
Benson sleeved block
Benson balanced and micropolished crank
CP custom pistons and rings (choice of size and compression ratio)
Pauter rods
OEM bearings
Gaskets as required
Blueprint and assembly

That is finished as of now. I also have a "stage 3" head done by Laskey. I have NO CLUE where to start with the pricing on something like this. Can you guys give me some suggestions? I'm also gonna become an official member and post my Vortech SC in the classifieds possibly. Thanks for any advice guys.

I think the total cost for that stuff excluding the core short block and head is about 5 grand... I guess you could add for the block and head and no waiting time. I dunno.

 

My initial idea was 6-6500$ but I wanted some input from some fellow S2Kers.

Do you care about a core swap on the block or head?

Compression ratio?

 

I have an S2000 1052 EMS for my car also. Does anyone know whether or not it will work with an alternate motor? I hope so, but if not I guess I'll add it to the list of stuff that's got to go.

 

The 1052 will work with the 2.0 and 2.2.

 

Contact PRS2K about engine management with the 2JZ swap.

 

Contacted him and the guy who does these...what is a stock head worth? Assume it's mint.

 

Wow, sold every single thing I had to a guy that has an insane supra. Look out for a MEAN supercharged S2K coming out of CA!
