Default IAT readings 06+ Supercharged + Flashpro

I'm getting very high IAT readings in Flashpro. I'm trying to troubleshoot why the temperature is getting so high. As you know the IAT sensor on the 06+ is before the supercharger in the air intake. My ECT is normal, the heat exchanger and aftercooler are working and doing their job. I suspect the supercharger is generating a lot of heat and the sensor is picking it up. The sensor seems to be functioning correctly from tests I have done. Unfortunately the high temperature readings are making the car run poorly. My tuner made some adjustments but says I must get this resolved. I am hoping a few of you can post up what IAT's you are getting. Please report the ambient temperature as well. I'm having these issues driving on the street. I'm scared to even take it to the track. I have seen as high as 240F. If it turns out that my temps are much higher than what others are seeing with the same setup and similar ambient temperatures then I might consider sending the charger to Paxton. Perhaps something is wrong with it and its generating excessive heat.

What does the IAT read on cold starts a minute after startup?

Let it idle for a few minutes and see how it progresses.

I did those tests. At first it starts at ambient and it increases at a steady rate which I would expect since the car is not moving. Driving around it will go up and down with the change in air flow. I used a laser temperature gun to test the area around the sensor and it was close enough to conclude it is accurate and working.

Thank you! In my mind that is where it makes sense to put it.

That said I did a test a few minutes ago. I went for a drive. Some city, some highway and some hard pulls. Ambient was around 85F. IAT when I parked in my garage was 200F. I checked the area of the sensor with the temp gun and it displayed 190F. Pretty close since the sensor is inside the intake where it would be warmer. I then checked the supercharger. It displayed 264F. To compare my friend with a Vortech went out for 10 minutes and his was 115F. I really think there is something wrong with my blower. If my temp was like my friends the sensor couldn't read any more than that and I would be fine.

Just making sure you did some due diligence.

I know myflys2k uses it in the same location you do and doesn't have a issue reading correct ambient temp.

I would consult with SoS and find out what they may think. Could be your not getting enough oil to the charger due to kink or blockage?

I would rule that out first before moving the IAT

^ the friend is myflys2k he is helping me troubleshoot. Only difference i see in his setup is that he has an oil cooler. I did speak to SOS and Paxton. Both think it is unlikely the charger. One thing is clear, the heat is coming from the charger. Moving the sensor at this point would just be a bandaid. I want to find the root of the problem since many SOS customers run the sensor in this location. I don't see any kinks in the oiling system but I was thinking about the oil last night as well.
