Just a guess here...

1) This is probably not the cause but what if your belt is ridiculously tight? Wouldn't that put a load on your bearings and possibly create higher friction/heat?

2) Could you possibly be not flowing enough oil through the blower? Did you check your sandwich plate where the VTEC solenoid is?

#2 sounds like a good place to check. It was off recently as I had my head repaired/built.

fairly obvious at this point that the aftercooler is not doing its job for whatever reason. is the pump running?

Aftercooler is working. The sensor is in the air intake before the supercharger and therefore also before the aftercooler. The heat is coming off the supercharger and with the sensor so close it is picking up the heat. If I pull the sensor out it starts dropping like a led balloon. I measured the temp at the aftercooler and intake manifold. It is significantly lower.

Thats really weird.

I have an AP1 where the AIT is located in the intake manifold. They have a tenancy to heat soak and ive never seen it that high. Most ive ever seen is like 160-170 sitting in traffic or my driveway.

As soon as i just pick up speed the temp stays at around 110-130 with ambient in the 95+ outside. With my sensor in the intake manifold i see the temp drop as soon as air moves across it.

Being in the intake elbow on the AP2 it should read much much lower. My only guess is that you have some serious engine bay temps if the intake elbow is heat soaking.

You should try to run a CAI or some fresh air ducting or even vent the hood to help you out.

If im not mistaken i think the ap2 version had it in the aftercooler since the they had it intake elbow and the ap1 version aftercooler doesnt have it cause the AIT is in the intake manifold

Wait, I'm confused. So where should coolberg and I be reading our temps from? I don't have the sensor hole on the intake tube or on the aftercooler.
IAT temps get up to 160-180 with SOS heat exchanger in 90f day in heavy traffic. I am at 120-140f Cruising at 60mph+ in 90F day.

If car sits off for 10 minutes and I start it back up I am at 200f IAT and it drops down to 140 in a few minutes as I start driving.

Depends on your kit.

No AP1 should have it anywhere but the intake manifold unless they aren't using the stock sensor or they relocated it from oem.

The way SOS has their AP2 kit is just like OEM. AIT is in the intake elbow. Not in the manifold.

SOS has 2 kits

DBW and NON DBW

I guess the DBW cars have the AIT in the intake tube.
