Ideas on block
I just finished my turbo setup and want to build my block.
I currently have a stock 2.2.
3.5 kings turbo kit (with 6766)
8.8 diff
Stock trans (for now)
Fuel for 1000+
I'm at 752whp for now
Question
How much power does the 2.4 hold
Should I go with 2.2 or 2.4
Thanks guys

I think if you go with the 2.4l, it will be a trade off of either thin cylinder walls (from boring) or less than ideal rod/ stroke ratio (from stroking). But since you don't seem shy about spending money on your car, I'm sure any one of the tuning shops on this forum will be able to put together a good bore and stroke combo for you to reach 1000whp, reliably.
i think the question is what does your power curve look like? if you're still making power way up top, which i assume you are.. i would believe the 2.4 will cut you short.. you will push things to the left a bit but i don't know if that trade off is worth not being able to rev as high (i assume you cannt rev as high)

What are the goals for the car? a 2.0, a 2.2 and a 2.4 all have their places, just depends on what you are doing w/the car.
For a pump gas street car you're going to drive a lot a 2.4 or 2.2 would be the best, if you are drag racing I'd stick w/the ap2 crank,
There is really no need for a custom rod, a good rod with a good bolt will hold 1000hp no problem. For pistons I'd use a full round skirt wiseco with a fat pin similar to what we run in the outlaw cars.
Also keep in mind that for over about 850-900 you will need to do the big stem exhaust valve upgrade and I usually recommend porting the head since you will loose some flow with the big valve stems.
