Totally agree here. 2.2 is plenty and with a good valve train, 10k rpm is just fine. Stock bore/stock stroke for a FI drag car. NA is a different ball game.

Thanks for the feed back guys. For the 2.2 what rods, sleeves, pistons???

I like to get opinions cause some builders, tuners like to use only one brand. I like to build once right and not 2 and 3 times for being cheap or wrong product.

Only rods I've had is Carrillo's and CP pistons. I was thinking of going with them, but wanted to know what the big HP cars are running here.

Most of the guys I know making that kind of power run custom wiseco pistons and aluminum rods. Aluminum rods are "springy" so they help the motor live a lot longer at those power levels.
