Im back!
Hey guys. Some of you may remember me. I see a lot of the same names on here as well as a lot of new ones. I used to hang around this forum a lot. I stepped into the Supra game for awhile. Had a lot of fun with it but unfortunately had some bad luck with Hurricane Sandy and my house and car was flooded and needed to part ways with it to fix the house.
My last S2000 was a 2000 NFR. Inlinepro T4 sidewinder kit. Stock motor but with 3mm headgasket. Borg warner S366 turbo. Made 590whp on pump and 772whp on q16. I was going through a lot of transmissions and just made me sick of the car and decided to try out a supra since I always wanted one anyway. Supra was a beast. I built it from the ground up. Shaved the bay. Built the motor. Full-race kit with a S372R. Only got to tune it on pump gas and made 700whp. Next step was E85 and was looking for 1200whp. Sandy got to her before all that unfortunately.
So I picked up a GPW 2007 S2000. I really wanted GPW and only wanted 06+ for option to use Flashpro. This time around I want to make a fun daily driver that wont blow stuff up everytime I take it out and take it on the road course every now and then. I love drag racing but I have more important things to pay for than all the supporting mods to do that.
As of now I have Bought coilovers and RPF1s. I also have a block being built by Jeremy Allen at InlinePro. I went with a 2.4l sleeved 9:1 engine. I also have a SOS twin carbon clutch. I have yet to pick out a turbo setup. I want to go with an EFR 8374 at this point. I am getting older and am getting over open wastegate so Im going with internal gate. I am not sure if Im going Full-Race manifold setup or Inline Pros prototype EFR manifold depending on the price difference. The car will probably stay on pump gas and it will be driven about 30k miles a year all highway
Im hoping to make mid/high 500whp with the car and a lot of tq. Jeff Evans has been tuning my cars for almost 10 years now so he will be doing the tuning of course.
I have missed the S2000 a lot and Im glad to be back. Its still the most fun all around car I have ever had. I tried out an evo which I liked a lot too but the S2000 will always be the best.
Thanks for taking the time to read old/new friends.
Rob

So glad to see a OG back in the S2k world, I'm in the same boat, sold my S, bought an EVO, but nothing compares to the driving experience of the S2000, I'm so glad to see you back, you were my inspiration back in the day!

Welcome back Rob. Sorry to hear about the car and house; It's look like you guys got hit really bad and makes the issues our family went through up north pale in comparison! I have a feeling that 500+/-whp won't be enough for you if past experience is any indication of future outcomes.
Welcome back, I've met a ton of cool guys in the FI section on this site over the last 2 years. Glad to see another dedicated member back in the mix. The FI section here is one of the cooler sub forums I've been lucky to be a part of, on any forum.
