Update. I went back on the dyno yesterday and had the entire MAP retuned. Since the last dyno, I installed a MAC solenoid and kept the 11.6 lb spring in the wastegate. We set the target PSI to ~13 and set the duty cycle & frequency of the MAC a constant.

Overall, the boost still dropped at the top end, from 13.4 to 11 psi. TQ didnt drop as bad and HP keeps rising thru the RPM band.

The two dashed lines are my baseline and solid lines are final. There is no difference in tune between the two runs, just back to back.

So your tuner couldn't get the boost to hold at 13 psi or did you intentionally bleed off boost?

He left the duty cycle & frequency at a fixed value for Boost control in the flashpro. He didn't believe that controlling duty cycle by RPM would help flatten that curve. In retrospect, we should've tried to see whether changing duty cycle as a function of RPM would've helped.

In all reality, the last 1000-1500 RPM isn't that critical, it was midband that I was after. In some ways, I suppose it's better(e.g. safer) that boost is slightly bleeding down at redline.

Looks pretty good! Definitely a nice midrange there!

I think I am try something similar to this soon. I really would like to keep my max hp at over 400whp but gain that much broader powerband!
HP seems pretty low no? especially for a Dynapack? At 12 psi on a dynapack I made 406whp. Of course all can be calibrated slightly different but wondering if it is not efficient there and makign less power?

HP is nominal. At peak RPM it's making ~11 PSI of boost. We looked at another run from another car on that same dynapack and made comparable numbers at peak RPM (~360whp) @ 10 PSI.

Since I am over-spinning the blower (2.8" pulley), it is less efficient and has hotter IAT for the same boost level.

How does the car with all the added midrange now?

11 psi for a 2.8" pulley? sounds like something is leaking horribly. i thought that pulley was good for way more boost.

Should have just tuned it for 13psi to redline. Your already making the boost why not use it. I'm also surprised your tuner didn't think to up the duty cycle to stop the boost from bleeding off. This is why I tune my own car

Boost pressure is pushing the wastegate open as boost builds.
