Default Info needed from anyone with a sidewinder

I bought a kit and the only way to make this kit work is by removing the cross member which I'm not willing to do. Thinking long term I know this will hurt the resale of this car which will but a dent in my pockets. Now the questions for all you guys is are there any sidewinders on the market that I don't have to hack up my car to make the kit work. Previous owner is saying regardless of what sidewinder I use I'm going to have cut away at the cross member to some extreme.

Just about any mainstream sidewinder will fit. Yours must be custom. You could replace the cross member with something that sits a little lower

That's the issue it is. Oil return for the turbo sits right maybe have an inch from the cross member.

Real question is how vital is that cross member and if god forbid I removed it could I weld it back in place if I ever decide to sell the car. I don't want to take away from the handling of the S neither.

Also another sidewinder owner here. Diddnt have to touch mine either, My CHRA sits infront of it, and my exhaust housing is nestled right above the Xmember.

you can always have it cut out, and weld in a tube to replace it.

Someone did that recently if you want pics, yellow car, used to have the AFI kit..... help me out guys, drawing a blank on who's car it is.

Removing the cross member was the best thing I did in terms of actually working on the car.

I used a tube from a mustang sub frame connector, cut it to fit, welded in 4x4 plate, and then welding it in between.

Running oil drains, piping/etc is a million times easier.

I'd recommend doing it, looks way cleaner imo anyway.
