Thanks for all the I sight and pics. Could I weld the cross member back if I was to ever sell it or will the frame be twisted by then?

I have the Kings Performance V2 manifold and did not modify mine at all. Yes you can cut it out and weld it back in if you need to or like everyone said above reweled another bar in to replace it.

If you are going to cut it out, you should really replace it with another cross member

I'm just being a Realistic and know one day I may have a charge of heart about throwing money at my car or as I start a family may have to get rid of my toy. With that said I don't want to hack away at a car that's paid off. When the day comes I would like to get the blue book value and not just half of what it's worth. Been married and while deployed it went to shit, was supercharged and got rid of a lot of stock parts which I learned later would cost me. Point being I may stick with the S forever or one day want something else.

Looking very seriously at a sheepy kit but any clue if mods will have to be made to the cross member to make it fit?

You don't want to run this car without a crossbar it will twist the chassis. If I could start over again I would buy the fb sidewinder.

I have the KP v2. My turbo sits a little far forward so I had to run my oil return over top and in front of my cross member but no cutting was required. If you're worried about losing money in the long run.. Save it and buy a quality sidewinder now. Just my .02

It's pretty much a complete lost. The manifold has the turbos oil return to close to the cross member, the IC piping only fits if I take it out, and just sent the turbo out because the cold side of it had quite a bit of oil in it and the cold side piping.

Their are pics posted above. I mean this isn't rocket science, you cut the old one out, and weld something smaller in place. You'll find the oem crossmember is a box channel, a round tube imo makes the car stiffer as long as you weld in some plates to distribute the forces across the frame.

My car was on jackstands when I cut it all out, and then I lowered it on the ground before I welded anything back in, to make sure the car was flat/level and not twisted on the stands.
