Default Ingalls ETD with Kraftwerks C38 kit

Has anyone tried to fit an Ingalls ETD on their motor that is running the newer Kraftwerks s/c kit? Looking at pics online, it seems like the two systems would clear each other, but I'm hesitant to buy one without being at least a little more certain.

Has anyone tried to fit one with their KW kit? or does anyone have a buddy with one installed, where the two of you could get together and eyeball it to see if it's feasible?

Habit I am thinking the same thing with my HKS kit. I love what my ETD did for me in terms of handling and responsiveness and think this will be that much more important with the extra power to the wheels. I think I can do it on mine with just a fabbed up bracket to attach to the supercharger bracke which will be just about in line where the ETD lined up. I am hoping this will allow me to continue to run the stock motor mounts but with alot less flex!

I took a couple pics to show how much space there is. if anyone out there with this piece could measure theirs & let me know if it looks like it would work, I'd really appreciate it!

There is about 1 1/8" space between the front of the head (not flush to the valve cover, but the forward-most part of the head) and the KW supercharger bracket.

The pic showing just shy of 2" is measured from the head top surface that protrudes from the valve cover (where the VTEC solenoid mounts).

Habit what are you thinking is critical to make this work? Same disatance as it stands now from unit to mount on the engine block? I am thinking about rotating the mount on the shock tower X degrees, then creating a mount to mount onto my SC bracket meeting the ETD in reletivly the same place as it was mounted stock. What are you thinking?

Personally I wouldn't be comfortable mounting the ETD to the s/c bracket, at least on the KW setup. I think that mounting solution has enough stress on it already, and wouldn't want to add the forces of the engine torquing as well. But I have no idea how the bracket for the HKS system is setup, maybe it's ok? Can you post some pics of it, or at least of the install instructions (if you have any of the above in hand yet)?

I am hoping that the original, unmodified bracket from Ingalls will have clearance around the KW brackets/plate, and that it can be utilized as originally designed without interference. At the worst, I think I may need to grind a bit off of the upper mounting bolt where the damper mounts to the Ingalls bracket.

I can't believe there's no one around with one of these ETD's to confirm if it looks like there is enough clearance. I'll probably just buy one this weekend and give it a go at this point.

Received mine today, kind of a PITA to install if the s/c is already on there, as you have to pull the whole s/c plate off to get access for that large lower bolt on the Ingalls engine bracket. But yes, it does fit. You have to remove the belt guard on the top of the s/c plate to get clearance, but the pulleys clear fine and you still have good access to the tensioning mechanism (after removing the damper itself). I took pics but too lazy to upload now, will add them soon.

Now I need to go buy a second large adjustable wrench, so I can adjust the tension in the damper.

It doesn't bolt to the vtec solenoid area, does it?
