I don't care so much about the cost. But if it doesn't WORK without poor fitment and ruining bearings within a few thousand miles like the OP, then it's overpriced for what they're delivering.

If they would "get it right" and have a durable, plug and play kit, then I'd support it for the price.

But if you have to keep tearing the rear down to install and reinstall their parts, it's no advantage over just buying a handful of OEM replacement diffs.
i think the price is right for what you get if everything works right. The driveshaft and the axles alone are very very expensive. If everything works perfecttly its definetly better than the puddymod IMO. you pay atleast $2000 for a puddymod diff but no axles. axles r the most expensive part.

It may just be more cost effective to go with the nissan rear-end. Do it once and not have to worry if its gonna need to be piggybacked home after a day at the drags.

I would have gone with a Puddymod upgrade if I had it to do over again.

Ben has different "stage" kits that are being used on race cars.

For the cost of the InlinePro kit (and buying a R200 differential), you could buy 10 used OEM diffs and swap them out as they break.
Charles,

I understand your frustration and that is why I did my best to help you to the best of my ability in order to make things a little easier for you. I had to really fight to get you sent replacement pieces before DSS recieved yours so hopefully you understand that I do my best to help customers.

Although it is not your fault, please understand this is an issue with the hub company and that is something I will need to work out with them but with that said the InlinePRO mounting pieces that were manufactured by us have had no problems at least that I am aware of. All the guys over @ DSS are all great guys but like with every company there will be some issues that come up and again something I will have to take up with them.

To everyone else, if you guys are having any issues please give me a call at the shop and we'll see what we can do and go from there.

-Chris

fadiss2k: I assume you have the 5.9 Kit. I purchased the 2.9 kit about 3 months ago. I have put 2,500 miles on my kit. Since the day I put it in I have had a problem with the rear end shaking. I am not sure if it is the diff I purchased or if it could be the driveshaft or axles. I have an appoinment to have inline pro look at it on the 22nd of October. I was wondering if you might have experienced this problem with your kit. Let me know.

OK, i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or if it is just me.
I have the inline pro diff kit and since installing it i have had to replace my wheel bearing on the rear 2 times going on my 3rd time this week. Ive only had it on since march...and my car was down for a month bc my motor spun a bearing and i went away for 2 months during the summer since i installed it. So about 4 months of driving...4000-5000 miles tops.
The first time i replace the bearings and the shafts that goes into the knuckles. The next time just the bearing.
Any ideas guys????
Thanks
Fadi
Maybe you're over torquing the nut when you put it back together?

I had this problem and it was the drive axles being too short and the cups were pulling apart when the car squated under hard acceleration. IP sent me some new ones and they seem better but occasionally can still feel a bit of vibration. If it get's worse, I'll have to send them back again.

Nice. Thanks for the in put. If it's the axles, I hope I can have new one fast. One good thing is that Inline pro is 15min away.

I want to point out that Chris has been great during this whole process. He HAS gone out of his way to try and make things right.

However, the facts are:
When I ordered the kit, the pieces were not in stock and had to be manufactured before being shipped separately from InlinePro and DSS... with no unified quality control check of the parts.

The delay in manufacturing / shipping required that I have another OEM differential mounted for one week in order to make Nationals. I ate that cost. I had ordered the kit two weeks prior to needing it.

The inappropriate hubs were sent, but were close enough in size that they were mounted without noticing the poor fit.

This caused destruction of an ABS sensor. I'm eating that cost, too.

The bum hub contributed to the car having a "mechanical" and being unable to run in the final points series, forfeiting the season championship trophy.

I'm still trying to swallow that bitter pill.

The car has been down for two additional weeks while I was waiting for them to receive my bad hubs before they sent out new ones? When the measurements suggested that they originally sent the wrong ones? Our season closer is this weekend and I would prefer not to miss that.

I'm eating the additional cost of the repeat teardown of the hubs / axles to install the hubs that should have been included in the first place.

So the lack of quality control cost me:
1. Additional OEM diff installation, to be removed one week later.
2. Broken ABS sensor from the "play" in the wheel / hub.
3. Additional shop time to replace the inappropriate hubs.
4. Loss of season championship trophy.
5. Potentially this weekend's event as well.

I think I've been pretty cool about the entire nightmare.
The installation is going to wind up more than $1000 over what it should.

I haven't asked for a single penny in compensation.
They have done a good job with their customer service after the fact.
But you'll understand if I only give a lukewarm review of the experience as a whole.
