People will probably jump in here and say "I think either one is good for more than you need" a few more times but I never asked about the max power.

Would the IP block handle track driving as good as the open deck? Any problems with internal coolant leaks? Problems with compression leaks over time and stuff like that. More important info IMO.

Pretty much decided to go Mahle and stock block after this thread, a lot of stuff I didn´t know about this engine.
Any high numbers on this combo yet?

Benson sleeved and laskey built.. oem bored and 9:1 compression

Laskey did a great job and had quick responses. only have 1500 miles on her but compression checked good and runs strong so far.

^ Same as me (I do believe - having bought this motor 2nd hand).
Only I'm not sure if I'm darton sleeved or Benson, the advert was a little confusing....

so if the block/cylinder walls are fine, is it acceptable to just get new mahle pistons and everything else needed to build the block, vs having it sleeved with the then necessary hardware?

Is there a power level when the sleeves are "needed" over the stock bore and mahle pistons?
