I don't really think there is a power level where aftermarket sleeves are necessary ...

If anyone wants to test this let me know... I'd love to put them to the test w/ Mahler pistons I just don't have a Turbo setup

Laskey price is 3550 on their site, plus block and shipping there.

Also, they use oem bearings as opposed to ACL, any insight into that choice?

Wadzii, pm me about testing.

I have seen a lot of issues with ACLs.. in the B series world anyhow.. and last I heard they were going out of business? and 3550 for a fully built F20? Sounds awesome!

Laskey 9.0:1 here, rolling since '08 with a little over 14K miles on the clock now. No oil burning, 29 MPG hwy, 145 PSI compression across all 4 holes +/- 4 PSI. What kind of compression are you other sleeved 9:1 guys getting by the way? I know the stock 11:1 runs 220+ PSI. Had to add a few degrees timing to non-boost part of map to capture back my usual MPG from the 11:1 days.

Thanks,
Stanford

Could someone throw in some details how to bore FRM blocks? What's the difference vs typical bore&hone?

it requires specific stones and must be done with honing oil and most do it manualy. Normal honing machines use a water based coolant not oil (which is why most do it with a manual hone)

It can be bored on a standard boring bar, nothing special there.

Any news from the sleeved guys? Miles? Heat problems during the summer?

Highest numbers on stock block so far? 800whp? Using Mahle or OEM pistons?
