Default InlinePRO 2.5L Turbo Motor...

I'm looking to have Inline build me a 2.5L stroker motor for boost. I know the price is around $5500 plus a core but since they use a different crank, pistons, rods, ect I am curious if a bare block would suffice...

Anyone know? I posted the question and haven't heard back.

I looked at this about a year ago, and talked with Ya. He informed me that a good block would be all they need, so long as it is rebuildable. I decided to go the K24A2 crank and home build route, it only cost me $2400 with sleeves, fully worked crank by Castillo's (lightened, knifed, opened up rod journals, balanced and nitrided), pistons, rods, etc... I will hopefully be putting it in this summer, I need a good FI head first.

I beleive a 2.5L stroker is waay overkill for most if not all setups.

Piston/rod/sleeve motor will make 800whp+ with less money spent.

^ Me or Spec Ops? I am going for 600WHP on a log manifold InlinePro kit, but I am hoping for 450WTRQ on pump 92. Ultra reliable with crazy power down low. Changing to an AP2 tranny and 3.73 rear for longer pulls due to the 8k rpm limit on piston speeds. Then I may add meth, but probably won't need to until the following year.

if you want power down low then the 2,5L will be better for that.....rememeber "there is no replacement for displacement"

i am not entirely sold on the theroy of the 2.5L evn though i am waiting for mine to come in the mail now. but it is supposed to give you great low and midrange torque, due to the bigger displacement.

unless you are trying to really beast then the 2.0 should do you just fine

I don't know about you guys, but a 30r comes on hard about 4500, meaning midrange will be no problem on a 2.0 or 2.2 powered car...still make 500whp on a stock motor?

1/2 the price w/o a stroker and sleeves...

read the entire post....i said unless you want a beast dont go for the 2.5...500whp is not a beast. and that gt30 runs out of breath real fast. you may get your good mid range but you dont get the great top end power

also, the 2.5 is great for people not wanting to go turbo, but its also great for people with big turbos.

I want the car to perform at 4k rpms like it does now at 8k rpms (I am currently at 415WHP on the stock 2.0). Torque wins races, horsepower sells cars.
