Spec,

All I would need is a bare block, main cap section w/ the main bolts, and thats it.

No need for a crank or pistons or etc.

hope that helps.

I looked at this about a year ago, and talked with Ya. He informed me that a good block would be all they need, so long as it is rebuildable. I decided to go the K24A2 crank and home build route, it only cost me $2400 with sleeves, fully worked crank by Castillo's (lightened, knifed, opened up rod journals, balanced and nitrided), pistons, rods, etc... I will hopefully be putting it in this summer, I need a good FI head first.
I'm going the same route! Got a k24 crank already, getting a sleeved block in the next month. Just need 2 decided on piston/rod combo. Decided on CP H22 9.1 cr pistons with h22 Manley turbo tuff rods. Will the pistons give me 9.1 cr in the f20 block aswell?

manifold - lovefab mini me, turbo deciding between the BW 366 or S362 with 70 A/R shooting for 600whp

Sorry for the thread jack

^^ No they will not yield a 9:1 CR. The preludes had a different stroke, thus effecting the the CR. I have a slightly modified crank and combustion chamber, mine are a custom set of CP's with a negative dish on the pistons of 14cc, yielding around 9.3:1 CR. You will have to measure your CC on your head, and actual stroke combined with HG thickness etc... to get your actual CR.

another question... how fast is the turn around once you have the block in your possession and I had seen on the forums somewhere that you have now found a way to leave the oil jets in place rather than remove them... is that true?

Thanks

J,

Oil jets can be retained now. Turn around time is about 4-6 weeks (as long as a crank is in stock when you are ready to purchase the build ).

I would recomend going with a 88mm bore so, its smaller than a 2.5 for turbo, more meat on the sleeves
