Why is the BOV on the wrong side for Inline Pros kits?

insightful review thanks for the input, you description of losing 1st gear worries me though, and what clutch are you running?

I have 4.57s and I'm worried about it being too close for 1st gear

This is going to sound really dumb probably and show how little I know about turbo setups, but here goes. With turbo setups, does the car boost at full throttle only or do you get boost regardless of throttle position? I guess what I mean is that if you are at half throttle in a turbo S2000, is it going to feel similar to a non-turboed S2000 at half throttle or will it feel much more powerful. Thanks for the help.
superchargers do that they are linear boost and dont make it until 9k

w.r.t. 4.77's:

I still use first, just when launching with no intent other than to, say, move along behind the car ahead of me at a stop light.

I tried a couple launches in 2nd, from a standstill. Probably not the easiest thing to do to the drivetrain, but launching at about 6K rpm give a good combo of wheel spin and forward momentum build up............................ on street tires. Unless you are running some type of drag radials, 1st gear is worthless for a good launch, IMHO. You have to be gentle with the right foot if you do, otherwise you just spin the tires and peg the rev limiter before you even have a chance to grab second............... The handful of times I tried this, and made an intent to grab 2nd as quick as I could, I got a 1st-2nd grind.

Unless you're spending a log of time on the strip, it's no big deal using 4.77's; just keep in mind that 1st gear is not usable for serious acceleration purposes. I have not been to the strip, nor do I intend to. For what appears to be the qiuckest launch while minimizing shock stress to the tranny and rear I will start in 2nd (low rpm), get it rolling to perhaps 20 mph, nail it, and when 4500 rpms comes up, modulate the throttle a bit (wheel spin), then grab 3rd gear......... 2nd gear needs a bit of throttle modulation as well, if you're running it from a rolling start. If you want to win a drag match with this setup, you have to take the tradeoff at launch and hope to catch up some time once you hit 3rd. The gears row quickly; with 4.77's on an AP1, you top out at 140 (true) mph............ very easy to do on an incline.

I am running an ACT clutch - full disk with sprung hub, not a puck style disk.

InLine Pro is awesome. They represent a lot for the import scene, especially the Honda's. I see them all the time at MIR. I've seen a red NSX lately. I wonder what their plan are for that car!??!

I've seen a lot of cars here in the DC area tuned by them. These cars are fast.

I'm still debating of getting turbo done to my S2000. I figure i'm gonna keep the S2000 for a very long time so turbo may be the best route for long term excitement.

Inline is 30minutes away from me too =)

kleeker do you go to MIR sometimes?
