Default inlinepro TCT

Ok I have been waiting for a thread to pop up about this product but I guess I will have to make the leap first.

http://www.inlinepro.com/s1/p-158-inline-p...-tensioner.aspx

I want more info on this product. Im tired of my car sounding like a ticking time bomb everytime I fire it up and would gladly pay the price if I could hear just something about it .

DISCLAIMER : If a thread has been started about it and I just couldnt find it please link me so I can lock this one.

Looks like they are just modifying ones with more tension. I would assume they are bead blasting the worm gear and swapping out the spring to a stiffer unit.

Note it says do not use with 3mm head gasket. If your having problems you should just pull it and sand the worm gear, worked for me.

Yes, just sand blast the worm gear and be done with it!

True and Billman is a super cool dude. BUT all he is doing is working on the worm gear. I would bet money the Inline Pro is something more. Has to be with a claim like DO NOT USE WITH 3mm head gasket which makes me think the tension is raised alot. On a downside wouldn't this wear out those tensioner guides pretty fast. I've torn apart several F20's and they all had worn guides, can't imagine what this may or may not do.

When the guide wears, where do the shavings from the plastic guide go? Down into the oil and hoping that the filter picks it up?

I wonder if they are extending the piston a little bit by placing a shim of some sort? Or even a different piston? That probly why you cant use the 3mm gasket due to it already taking up chain slack.
