STS Turbo

Seems this Company mounts the Turbo in place of the muffler, infact deletes the muffler all together.

Spool up Clip......

I don't like the filter location too much....needs a shield.

I'm think this may be a cheaper way to put a turbo on an S2000 since you don't need a complicated turbo manifold.

 

dumbest crap ever. There was a S with it on here and the construction was beyond crappy.

 

I have seen that done on '2 Guys Garage" as well. Looks like an interesting option in a car with limited space in the engine bay.

 

I saw that episode. I thought it was pretty cool actually.

 

Stupid as ****, in a terrible location

 

This comes up about every 2 months.

They systems work well on large displacement engines that don't lack low end torque. (most V8's) The gains are smaller with smaller displacement engines, which don't produce the same exhaust volume as a 5+ liter V8.

For those that call it dumb, stupid, Etc. Wait untill a STS equipped domestic walks all over your S2k.

 

theres a 500+rwhp GTO in town that has the same turbo setup... its freakin badass and just hauls ass... just because it looks dumb doesn't mean its crap

 

acut just got this on horsepower on spike today. They did this setup to a 06 c6 vette. The thing def hauled ass and sounded mean. Plus they had no lag whatsoever. Not sure how that type of set up would run on an s2k but from reading the previous posts I assume not so well. Def an interesting setup no the less.

They do work albiet not for us.

 

Its pointless on a low displacement vehicle,and It will be more expensive and you'll probably lose 20-30hp over a traditional turbo setup In the S.
