It's not like we don't have other options. An Inline Pro turbo kit costs $3495. Ya know?
I think you forgot to mention that BIG 'starting from' sign under the price

Realistically speaking it'll cost more than $3495 when you factor in engine management and all the other ancillaries.

I didn't forget. I simply neglected to mention them.
Yeah, you'll need a lot of tuning and engine management. I guess it's 6 in 1, 1/2 dozen another.

thats very mis-leading. a decently tuned IP TK is around 6-7k.

So now i'm curious. what were to happen if you re opened a debate whether or not to go SC or Turbo?

Given that the fact that there are going to be more options between SC's and different turbo kits.

I know we couldn't do this now because all the new kits are still in development and haven't been released but I'm curious.

No they were pretty tight lipped about any details..but told me to expect the kit to be released around end of q2 or beginning of q3. Fun thing...they didn't know anything about what's happening to Comptech. I hope they will speed up the development and put it on top priority...

They already have 2 S2KIs for testing. The are one of the few companies that don't just bolt something on and sell it. They run it through tremendous testing prior to selling it. That's why their stuff works. Jackson Racing has a great reputation for testing and making sure they truly work out the bugs so you don't have to.

I got to drive the Fit they have supercharged on the track and man it's a whole different car. Ran great at the track and kept up with some of the STis, and that was only a Honda Fit!

Im pretty excited with this news even its probably old now. I always loved Jackson SC I had one on my GSR powered hatch and man that reall screamed and fast. Now into a S2k I can't wait. If its 300+ at the wheels I will diffinately buy it.

Nothing like a roots supercharger. Here is a dyno of a Rotrex in a Miata. The thick blue like is the torque curve - take a look at it - a typical centrifugal. You don't get the full torque (thus not much power) until 6000 rpm!!!

compare the graph above to a 200rwhp Miata using an Eaton ("roots" blower) - you have the torque thus the full power the moment you open the throttle at 2500 rpm:
