Yeah most manufacturers design parts around the stock ecu a larger intake tube or a different exhaust manifold can be taylord to change the stock A/F ratio maximizing the gains. Once you trow in a standalone comp and tune you level the field and the gains in some cases are not that big betweem parts. Thanks for your tine & effort.

Interesting how my boost seems to have dropped 2.6 psi and yet my torque and power went up with this Hytech supercharger header.

The header flows enough to open up the exhaust and drop the boost. Exactly what I wanted.
Wow that's significant for a change of exhaust. Makes me wonder what I could gain at my current boost/power level with this set up. Do you have the full Hytech header/TP/Cat back?

Oh...I almost forgot, I measured the sound level of the Fujitsubo as well. It achieved an in-car result of 92.6db from 4500rpm on down vs the twin loop at around 101db.

seems like 60 or 63.5mm dia. is the way to go with a SC!!! No need for loud 3" or even 2.75"dia.

I

I made more power with my modified OEM exhaust than I made with the AP2 Mugen exhaust ( about 4 to 5 more TQ across the entire RPM range)

Changed the to a more efficient split (used a knifed edged header collector but ran backward) and dual piping

higher flowing racing mufflers form dynomax (racing bullets)

specs on my exhaust
Split is from http://www.mandrel-bends.com
[MCL2-2025-SS] 2.5 to 2.0” dual split
2.0” mandrel piping thinnest wall I could find to reduce weight.
Just make sure your welds do not penetrate in the flow path and if they do sand them down so you minimizes wall friction and wall turbulence.

To dual (one on each side LOL) Dyno Max 4” racing bullet mufflers. 2.25” internal piping.
Model 24234 with this being a dual; according to the manufacture the mufflers can support enough flow to support 632 crank hp
They flow 700 cfm each at the standard flow measurement which I think is 20” H2O )
With the internal piping on the muffler being bigger than the piping coming in some may argue that this creates a flow termination zone well maybe...
In my opinion it is just perfect to slow down the exhaust gases (expansion based sound suppression look up expansion mufflers on goggle) enough to suppress the sound without causing undue back pressure or a return acoustic wave and rasp.
The nice thing about these mufflers is you can reuse the stock tips for the stealth look and they are small enough that they are tucked and there is plenty of room to make a true underbody diffuser.

Hey, I / we appreciate the info. This is good to know.

Thanks, Brian

Well...some more news!

The mid pipe has just been sent back to Hytech to be rebuilt in 2.5" (it was 2.75") and will have the bottle style resonator removed and the Vibrant "Ultra Quiet" resonator (http://vibrantperformance.com/catalo...products_id=46) installed in its place. It will be several weeks until I get all of this back, but when I do I will get this on the dyno for one LAST time. As this is not costing me anything I thought...why not? As my expectations are VERY low...who knows! My hope is that at very least the noise will be brought down to an acceptable level.

For reference the Fujitsubo Legalis R was at 92.6db from 4500rpm on down and the 2.75" Hytech with the bottle style resonator was at 101db (using this meter: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=390-722).
