Where is my post?
I think I will have to rewrite it again.
I bought a used head in US with free shipping to the shop, used S2000 parts, an OEM AP2 lip cost here $1,500, an aftermarket ones are lot cheapper in US.
building a head in Europe is very expensive

... doesn't know exhaust from intake cam. I'm COMPLETELY puzzled as to why people keep going to him. What sort of RWHP gains has his work shown? 5, 6 ... RHWP? I spent over $10 grand with the guy ... waited about 6 months and saw less than 16 RWHP gain from the "Competition" motor build that was supposed to get me in the range of 250 to 275 RWHP.
In my opinion, shame on the people who recommended his work to me.

As for Joe's motor build work, of which I've been a customer and spent as much and more money, yes he's slow due to being a one man operation. His work with block sleeving, stronger pistons and rods is fairly bread and butter for motor strengthening. The return on your motor build if it's NA isn't going to be a jump in horsepower unless there's a raise in the compression ratio, but perhaps a more robust motor on the track vs stock. It'll last longer above 8K rpms.
I may be more tolerant than the next person on Joe's turn around because he's become a good friend in the process, I hope he's able to turn around the work he's taken on shortly for you guys, he does have a genuine care for quality.
Sorry, I'm sure that's little solace though while waiting for your job to get finished.
