Default Just bought Hi boost comptech!

hey guys,

first off wanna say it took a while but i finally pulled the trigger on an awesome kit for an amazing price. Just wanna ask a few of the comptech guys their opinions on what i should do..

OK so first off i have an 05 AP2...and the kit i purchased was meant for an ap1...however he has the ap2 pulley as he was running more boost on his ap1..so included is the 7lb ap2 pulley, as well as a 10lb and 14lb pulley with corresponding belts..

Being new to boost on the S2 i was debating whether or not to run the comptech factory settings and boost for a little while before installing my 750cc injectors, aem fpr, aem ems, hks bov and 10lbs pulley. My question is will the comptech ESM from an AP1 work fine with the ap2 7lb pulley or will i run into issues.

or should i just save myself the hassle install the 10lbs and all components, aem ems and get a tune.

Im asking mainly because i wanted to run stock clutch for a bit until i have to change it and i dont think on 10lbs that the factory clutch will hold out..Not a big deal for me just have to hold out a few weeks on the install soo i can save up for a clutch.

What are your opinions?
PS i have a stage 2 sti so i think i should go the 10lb pulley first time so i dont feel dissappointed. Just not really sure what to expect soo i thought i'd ask the PROS...You guys!!

i would do it the way the kit came and upgrade later that way you feel the difference the aem and 10lb pulley does and will appreciate it more.

But yes the ap1 esm is the same, thats only there to hide boost from the ecu so it doesnt freak out. Its the fpr that you would need to adjust if you run more boost, i would at least get it a a dyno and check the air/fuel... or buy a wideband.

Im guessing you do not need the FPR because you can control everything from the AEM EMS??

you must be a baller having a sti stage 2 and a supercharged s2000 I want your wallet ....the esm will work on either ap2 or ap1 s2000's and you will get a good kick out of the 7psi...when I was compteched 5.5 psi ( ap1 ) non aftercooled, me and a stage 2 sti started from a 1st gear roll by the time we got to 85-90ish he was only a fender ahead of me, if I would of had an aftercooler or the water/meth at that point he would of lost for sure...I later went 7psi and then to 10psi and water/meth...none the less he refused to race me at 7 and 10psi I think you'll be suprised what the s2000 puts out with such little boost

O and the comptech superchargers run out of steam around 400-425whp on the s2000. BUT who needs more than that anyways!
