Default Just in, here are my DYNO numbers

After buying my S used a few months ago I've been dying to get it on a dyno. I bought it with the Vortech SC and an Apex S-AFC II as the only mods.

Took me a couple months to get it running right. Had to pull the S-AFC II and add an AEM EMS after the Vortech black timing box proved defective.

Well yesterday I finally got my S on the dyno for some good pulls

I was hoping for around 300 WHP going in, but we got that on one of the first full pulls. After some masterful tuning by the Ultimate Lurker we wound up with this

The stock injectors started maxing out in the mid 8000 RPM range, so for now I've got a soft-touch rev limiter set at 8050 to keep things safe before I can get some 550 cc injectors. Sean said that the numbers were looking pretty solid for a Vortech with 7lbs boost and EMS as the only mods. I can't wait to get those 550s so I can get it tuned to spin to 9000 RPM.

It took some time to get everything running right, but I must say I'm really pleased with the results. Many thanks and props to Church Automotive, Spugen, and Tony Fuchs Racing.

Stick with the stock injectors and get an AEM adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Crank the fuel pressure up by 15 psi and you will be golden. This is cheaper than going with new injectors and the stock injectors will give better driveability. Now, if you are planning for a smaller pulley and much more HP, that's another story. Good numbers by the way.

The 550s will drive just fine. The adjustable FPR is 2/3 the cost of the injectors and then you need a gauge.

I'd go by what Shawn Church recommends. 325 hp
True. But you have to cut the injector harness and solder in new clips. Much simpler to stick with the stock injectors. They will work just fine. The AEM FPR runs about $160. RC 550 injectors will run about $320 for four. As I said, if he plans to go for a lot more power them obviously the way to go is bigger injectors. Why stop at 550?

The adjustable FPR sounds like a good idea and I'm sure it would help fuel delivery, but I haven't ruled out going to a 9 lb pulley somewhere down the line. I think that I won't be going to 9 lbs for a while, but considering that I may be going that route the 550s seem like a good way to go. Shawn said they will support 400hp+

I'm running 1000 cc with a smooth idle at 950 rpm, using AEM's new electronic peak and hold injector driver.

I'm not too familiar with the effects of injectors on idle quality.

Would it be correct to assume that there would not be a significant difference in idle qualty when comparing 550s to 650s? And that there probably would be a significant idle quality difference between 550s and 1000s?
