I bought my personal V160 off a Road Race Supra with 100,000+ miles with bad 2nd & 3rd synchro. That was the tranny we ran 9.5 @ 150's on the Red Street 2king. It was shifting funky so we decide to do a complete rebuild on the synchros, hubs & bearings.

On the Yellow bullet we bought that tranny with a 2nd Bad synchro & we ran 10.0 @ 140's and we decided to do a complete Synchro, hubs & bearings rebuilt. We ran the October event with another tranny that we borrow while we waited for ours to finish getting rebuilt and the one we borrow had a bad fork.

After that we have NEVER had any problems. The people that are having issues with the V160 trannies is because of bad adjustment, shifting wrong, full throttle shifting, etc... 95% of the problems is because of the driver.

Both trannies have been working 100% after the 1st & only rebuilt

If you go do research there are at least 50+ Supras making 1200+whp & running low 9's / hi 8's with out problems.

If anybody has any questiosn about this sets up please feel free to contact us.
