Default NOPI Turbo S2K's

I think I got the exclusive!

There were two turbo S2000's at NOPI, one at the Memphis Audio booth (silver) and derryck's turbo at the BF Goodrich booth (black). Apparently the silver makes 260 at the ground at 6 psi, and derryck's makes 327 at the ground at 6psi.

I saw him rolling down 75 on the way to Atlanta and it was a pretty impressive sight to see that intercooler!!

The pictures are located in the picture gallery..

Nice pictures. Looks like derryck's turbo set-up was designed for more go then show, while the other was geared for more show and less go. Did either of them offer any dyno sheets. That's quite a big difference in hp, considering the same boost. Hope to hear more on these set-ups.

Wow, that's a REALLY big gap. Do they have different turbos? Intercoolers?

See the above referenced thread for some of the differences between the two setups.

derryck,

Glad to see that your turbo S2k is running fine. I just read your post on the differences in the cars and how easily you were able to keep up with those other cars. How many miles have you put on the turbo already??

I have just over a thousand miles on the turbo and have been extremely pleased. I have been trying to find one of the SC'ed cars so we can have proof of the turbo vs. SC argument. My guess is that Comptech won't sell too many more kits if that happens. I spoke to one person at the show claiming to have a SC'ed S2 but he wouldn't run, can't say that I blame him. I have driven a SC'ed S2 and that's when I decided against the SC, the turbo is a completely different story.
