if you look at the picture of the kit its very obvious that you need to relocate the fuse box at the very minimum

Sorry to hear man. That turbo sits right up next to the lines and box. I didn't know they said it was a direct fit, no relocate necessary. After you relocate things and fix the wiring would love to hear back on how the kit is. Good luck man.

The kit felt great no doubt. And installation was good. But they should not have nothing needs to be relocated

I recommended a guy over in the UK go to Kings performance and speak to Fernando, which he did.As I hadn't run my kings setup at this point I could make any comments......I certainly can now.The guy bought the kp 3.5 kit I think and once fitted and put on the dyno he found He had boost leaks, further investigation revealed that the welding on the boost pipes was so poor that he was losing pressure. He had to remove them and have them re welded.

So that's Kings Perfomance built engines failing and now turbo kits producing excessive heat, and melting fuse boxes.Mmmmmm, not looking good especially when the subject is bought to their attention and theychose to shove their heads up their asses and ignore the issue.Or am I being synical?

What was Kings response when you told them?

I will call them sometime next week. Right now i just want to get the car up and going. I dont think calling anyone will solve my problem. I work over 50 hours a week. I will call them once i get it running. Hopefully i can do that tomorrow.

Already had a turbo blanket.

I drove the car to the dyno and ended up having problems with my aem (it happens). I sent it in to get fixed and went for a quick drive to enjoy the car(my brother street tuned it). And the worst happened. The car shut off on me and i pulled over immediately. My horn wouldn't shut off. I opened the hood and saw the wires by the fuse box started to melt. Thank god no fire was started. This was after the first few pulls. If i didnt have problems with my aem it would have happened sooner because of the heat.

Just a heads up that if you buy the stage 1 kit you should relocate everything. Now im stuck with a fuse box relocation wich is no biggie but i have a wiring issue on my hands. Hope its not too big of a nightmare.

Hello Umair,

sorry to hear about the inconvenience.

Please call us asap at 321-235-2699.

Thanks,

Kings Performance

I've personally installed their stage 1 and 3.5 kits on 3 s2ks and yes it may say nothing needs to be relocated but it deff needs lots of heat shielding if you dont want to relocate anything. i would not take that chance knowing how hot manifolds and turbos get but to each their own. On one of my clients cars we just wrapped alot of the wiring in dei fire wrap and had the hot parts coated after a few heat cycles. turbo blanket of course. Car has 7k miles and the only thing moved was the battery to the trunk for aesthetic reasons. Others did want their boxes and harness and ac lines tucked so those were easier but its a really good kit for the money imo.
