was there any other issues you encountered from day 1? and just before the blower seized did you notice anything different? It seems these kits are really hit or miss. Some guys run em for miles n miles no issues and other have multiple issues within a couple thousand miles...

I have a video here. You can clearly hear it at 6:20 and it goes away after being revved.

That doesn't sound like the typical coffee grinder sound unusually associated with the Paxton blowers. I haven't heard a cogged KW kit in person yet, but off hand from the vid, that doesn't sound very good. Sounds like something rubbing/binding with a load, possibility the internals going out on the blower itself.

As you see in my video if ur bearing is busted you can wiggle the pulley while it's still on the engine with belt on .. Yours sounds pretty normal ... A slight flutter from the bov and heavy air flow sound through intake ... That's what I can hear but it's hard to tell ... Kw bov ? The sound the pulley made when running was like high pitch bird Tweeting.. I can't tell if u have that sound goin on

I sent the blower and blower pulley back to Kraftwerks last month because of this: https://www.youtube....h?v=XFTtt_QcChw and I thought it was the cause of that idling noise.

They put on a new adapter, pulley, and loaded it on their test rig and said the blower was running perfectly. Got it back, installed it, and the pulley is now spinning straight but its still making that idling noise.

When I find time, I'm going to take the drive system apart again and look at all the other pullies.

did you look at your crank shaft pulley to see if it's contacting the rack ? At the end when you shut ur car sounds like grinding ..

I started up my car again today just to let it idle and warm up before I started my day. I took a close look at all the pullies while it was running and I have my suspicion on the crank pulley adapter at the moment. It was the only one that didn't look like it was spinning "straight" while all the other ones were. But the sound is definitely coming from the drive system and not the blower (thank goodness). I'll look into it more when I have time.

$1009 for all of that is quite cheap, considering the rotrex traction fluid is like $100/bottle isn't it?

I may have saw it listed on the S2000 national sale FB page (I think it was Florida). Either way, congratulations! Hope you can keep the kit.

When I had my issue and thought the SC could be bad, KW offers you a discounted rate to buy a new blower to get you back on the road faster while your potentially defective unit is sent to Rotrex for further inspection. If it turns out the blower is defective, you get your money back. If it is found that your blower was not defective, then you are not refunded the 1k. The blower is destroyed during the inspection process so once you decide to go this route and send it to Rotrex, you must either spend the 1k to get another blower right away or wait it out until they make a decision.
