So I'm actually closer to 240tq but 380hp is pretty respectable on the 81 blower and stock pulleys. My mods are AEM Infinity ECU, Berk HFC, Super Sprint 63mm exhaust, AEM fuel rail, FPR, SOS TB, SOS clutch and 11lb FW.
Nice numbers

Just started my Kraftwerks supercharger system for the first time today. It whines louder than I thought it would. Is this normal. Does everyone else have a whine noise all the time? Just wanted to make sure nothing is wrong.

there is some whine to it yes. and some decent filter sound (air sucking sound) if that makes sense. Post a video so that we can help clarify...

the air sound will subside some once the car warms up...

I also was surprised (and disappointed) by the whine on initial startup. The whine diminished significantly as the blower and belt broke in.

Good to know. Thanks. I think it is already getting quieter and I'm starting to enjoy the subtle sounds associated with being supercharged.

Do note: my dyno pull, the a/f got lean at 7600rpm. Bought a new walbro 255 to replace the grams. The grams was wired to the battery with SOS relay kit. Also have SOS in tank fpr installed. New dyno this Tuesday

We get alot of questions about the whine from the supercharger.

90% of the whine is from the cogged belt set up on S. We've installed alot of these on the 8th and 9th Gen Civic Si, These run a 7 rib belt which
is almost silent.
We have had some kits make more noise than others.Once the belt settles down it will be a little quieter.

What's everyone's mileage so far on the kit? Just curious? I just hit 1,000 miles on my -81 kit.
