thanks for the support - still not sure if this was my fault or not. in any case, i won't let him drive around with no oil in his motor!

i do not think the inlinepro kit will be necessary. we are talking about possibly moving the current relocation kit to a more visible area in the engine bay, just so all oil lines can be easy to find and assess at a moment's notice. basically i think that means replacing the one long line with a shorter one and bracketing the filter mount assembly somewhere in the bay.

the KW brackets and pieces are extremely well made - i do not think they need replacement. i think after something like this my guy would just like to be able to get to his filter without lifting the car up. different strokes for different FI psychos
the kw bracket and kit itself is very very well made its just that the oil filter location is a little to far if you need to get to it. I would relocate it somewhere int he engine bay so its easier to work with.

And Mike i wont touch the car until you come on monday than!

telos has been alot of help! not his fault. hopefully my motor is fine.

This was a great write up; I wish I'd read it before I installed my kit! I made the same mistakes: pulling 10mm bolt that holds back AC coolant (misleading photo/bad direction in step 50!), oil leak at the filter relocation plate (it's the RED line, tighten it quick!).

I can't imagine pulling my kit and selling it, though. I'm going to run it 'til something wears out then buy a new one.
