You will always come across problems when adding power adders. Some more than others. I do not have any experience with the KW kit as I am turbocharged. But just like anything else in life, step back and look at what the problem actually is. Bolt breaks? upgrade to a grade 8 bolt or better. Throwing belts? Identify what is misaligned and shim or have it milled if needed.
I'm not trying to take up for KW, but sometimes if you want something fixed correctly, you have to do it yourself.

It's easy to tell someone else "hey you fix this" but many times if you just stop and evaluate the situation thoroughly the problem can be rectified.

We've all seen your posts. And i get your pissed. But there are plenty of us that haven't had an issue on the street. I'm not defending KW at all, i think their kit has obvious issues.
But If you address the issues ahead of your install, you should have minimal problems on the street. Also you should do a quality control check before you do the install. Make sure all the items you get are in good condition. Mistakes happen.

The Vtec solenoid bolts have been an issue from the beginning (also was a problem on older SCer kits from other manufacturers). Those of us that got better bolts have been fine.
EVERYONE on this forum knew to never install the shitty fuel pump from Grams. If you installed that, it's your own fault. I'd doubt your installer if they even let you install that pump.

There is something wrong with ur alignment or install. No one should be breaking 4 belts in 1300 miles on the street. Maybe you need to take it to a different installer. I put a hard 5,000 miles on my car with not a single issue. Evans Tuning did the install and tune.

Also I've had great customer support by KW. Either call them or email CJ directly. He always got back to me within a day.

If you pay 5 grand for a brand new kit you shouldn't have to inspect the parts do you??? I don't have a kw kit but I bought a sos stage 2 and did the install myself and I don't know anything about boost.. drove it for about 4K miles now and no problem at all... all I'm saying if you charging 5-6k for a kit brand new it shouldn't have any problem for at least first 5k miles

I don't care what you buy. You inspect it before you install it. shit happens, especially when your in the FI game.

Also when kits have a known weak point (like the fuel pump they provide), you do your research and know that you should spend the $200 on the SOS wiring kit + walbro/other fuel pump.

and you only hear about the issues. people who have issues are always more vocal. My kit has been 100% reliable. I knew what the weak points were and those were addressed before installation (solenoid bolts + fuel pump).

I purchase my kit from sos brand new let sit for 4yrs and then did the install.... never inspected the parts or see if everything was there... but when it came to installation it was a piece of cake and everything was correct as it should be from the dealer itself... if was buying a used kit then that's a different story, but a use kit would be thousands less.. ppl buy brand new cause they don't want to deal with this kind of bullshit!!!!!

Vraiment désolé pour toi buddy !!!

It's too bad that this comes every now and then. Is not an isolated incident!!

Nobody should inspect a brand new whatever !!! But sadly we do have to. I got my fair share of parts from "reputable" brands showing untolerable flaws.

Every time you ask them they come with installer errors !!! Oh yeah !! The fact that my bbk hat doesn't fit on the hub as to be an installer error !! Or the fact that I have to grind the brake pads on the driver side only to fit them in the caliper must be my fault !!

I've seen wings that don't fit on their stands , frp's that leaked brand knew. Even had upper tower bar to short and bolt on brackets that I had to rebend and redrill to have them installed!!

There is just less and less quality control and it seem the fabrication tolerance aren't tight enought !!

Yes you do. I've seen defects from major manufacturers across the board. Shit happens, things fall through the cracks. & no I don't inspect a brand new civic, but I'm not doubling the HP of the civic! & maybe if you didn't hear, every car manufacturer has recalls, lemons, & repairs all the time from defects; etc.

Also I don't give a crap why they gave a shitty fuel pump, everyone on this forum knew it was a POS. Why did you install it? Why didn't you do some more research before you tried to double your HP?

Also ask yourself this. If that shop installed 4 other kits, and they haven't had any issues, why are you? Like I said, maybe they misaligned the kit, or your kit has a defect for its' alignment. I don't know, but there is obviously something wrong when you have 4 belts in 1300 miles.

Regardless, I'm not hear to shit on you. Sell your kit, do some research before you go FI again, and buy a kit that fits your needs.

Still is sad you have to double check , throw stuff to garbage on a brand new kit.

Went FI on other vehicles without any issues whatsoever. That's what you expect when you don't built a custom kit. Something reliable
