Default KWSC-no power above 6500

Car feels great, all pipes tight, etc... No power above 6500 rpm. I have the colder NGKs in gapped to 030, going to try stock plugs tomorrow.

It isn't engaging. Trust me, unless the KW kit makes 200whp.

edit: would the car go over 6k with no vtec or would it hit a wall? crap, it might just be a boost leak.

yeah you wont hear VTEC anymore > Especially since the reflash is setup to kick-in VTEC @ 4200rpm.

(you miiight be able to hear vtec, but its nothing like it used to be in an NA car. the blower does all the work now hehe)

i know you all say you cant feel vtec when FI but i can still feel it on my 8psi turbo setup. VTEC pops on at 5800rpm and i can most def feel and hear it still...not like i could bone stock but its still there. I know the KW kits make vtec lower so im sure it feels basically seamless at that point. good luck with it.

As mentioned, Vtec is not NA Vtec; If you are truly running only 200 WHP then there is a serious issue. For those whom have ridden in my S say there is no Vtec until I tell them it engages at 4k under WHOOT conditions (throttle position, rpm [doh,] and load.) Take the S up to 5k in 3rd gradually and then open the throttle another eighth pedal. You should feel a disproportionate surge from the S. Other things to look at are a

DV replaced, map cleaned and whacked, seeing 10psi on the gauge, no power. Plugs are 2668s gapped to 030, white on the tips from running lean. Reflash is in, etc.

punch it below 4000rpms in a high gear and see if you hear vtec kick in at 4200rpms... if it kicks in anywhere above that then you have a boost leak.

if vtec was broken then the car couldnt rev pass 6000rpms.
