Default last week til FI

Well guys, I just gotta make it through this week and then on Saturday I'm driving to Sioux Falls to a shop called Excessive Autosports to get my car supercharged. It seems like a pretty knowledgeable shop. They've never installed a supercharger on an S before but I am still confident that they will be able to handle it ok because of 3 reasons: First, the owner himself had and modded an S2k a couple years ago. Second, a buddy of mine on here (ZSAK) had them install a complete inline-pro turbo kit last year and the car is still running fine. And thirdly, this is a comptech kit which is supposed to be the easiest kind to install. I bought the kit from a member on here (fuel4blood) who bought it off of another member (Deez). I was told the kit works fine so I'm crossing my fingers that everything goes ok. Is there anything that you guys can think of that I might need to make sure I have or any information that the shop should know about? I have those directions that were on here but they are for an Ap2. From doing some searching it appears that the install is very similar b/t ap1 and ap2. If anyone wants to comment on this I'm all ears. Thanks and let's wish this little car some luck!

UDATE:

Ok guys I just had one more quick question. I was reading the FAQ on here titled: Oil Change with Comptech S/C. Upon reading this it said that I should use 6 quarts of oil. Now I just changed the oil in her about two months ago and put in about 5.6 quarts because that's what I read on here. Should I bring a quart of oil to with me to the shop and tell them to add about 1/2 quart or so to make it right? Also if anyone does know the true amount of oil for an Ap1 that would be great. I searched a ton and read anywhere from 5.1 to 5.6 and couldn't really find an answer. Few more days!! Man I'm gettin excited!

When i had my s/c first installed i got whiplash because i was COMPLETLY un-aware how hard my vtec kicked in!!! yes it kicked in That hard

If you could find a detail write up and print it out to give to them, I think it would be helpful. Either that, or if you have the instruction to give them, I think it would be a great idea. As long as they follow the instruction, you should be be perfectly OK. Most mechanics are open to reading instructions, since it ends up being easier to follow directions than doing something twice. I hope everything goes well, and I'd love to see the result!

Very important.

Additionally, clean everything. Clean the supercharger and accessories as well and under the hood. Give the mechanic a clean engine and he will take better care of your car than if the engine was dirty or even dusty.

With or without the aftercooler? It will make a difference as to the easiest install.

Which pulley? Are you looking at changing plugs or staying with OEM?

And with Sideways - clean the engine bay and the blower parts.

Thanks for all the support and good advice guys. I did just get the fuel pump the other day and I'll be sure to give him some good directions and print outs if I can dig them up on here. I am going with a very conservative set up. Everything will stay stock, even the exhaust. I believe this kit was the Ap1 kit with the one size bigger Ap2 pulley (7 lb) I don't have an aftercooler either, which I wish I did but I guess I'll just see how it goes without it. I'm not changing the plugs either because when I did some searching it didn't appear that I needed to but if you guys think I should, lemme know.

I can't wait to sit in her Chuck. Joey and Dan will take care of you. Tell them I said hi btw. They know what they are doing so I wouldn't be too worried. Call me if you need anything. Are you getting it tuned? As for the oil question I would not be too worried about it. Just make sure your dipstick reads full.

Does anybody think he should go with some cooler plugs from stock? 7psi non-ACed? I probably would to be safe...but perhaps others think you're fine.

I'm allergic to grenading motors so I usually take the safe route.
