Be leery of stock AP1 retainers

If it were my car I probably would. The customers cars i've done they only wanted to do the intake side, and i've yet to see any exhaust side retainers with damage. Its really up to you. Personally I wouldn't take the chance, its too easy not to change while your in there.
I would respectfully disagree. The intake side has more stress thats why they crack during valve float. If you are just replacing the retainers I would only do the intake side. If you are upgrading part or most of the valve train then obviously do both sides.
