Default lil problem with cooling system-

driving home from work today I had noticed my temps were raising, I stoped at a gas station to get some soda for the house and when I came out my temp was at 230. I shut it down and popped the hood. I noticed the overflow tank was doing just that... over flowing lol any ideas would be helpful. I was thinking thermostat. also went to bleed the system and it had a shit load of air in it comming from the bleeder valve

Have you had it apart or anything recently? The S2K is the biggest pain in the ass to bleed of any car i've ever worked on. lol

If there's a trick, i'd love to know it. Usually takes us at least 20-30 minutes to get one bled.

lolol, i hate bleeding the coolent system. i have a RHD and we do not the the second bleeding point on the firewall. last time it took me 45-1 hour, to get all the air out...

if i where you i will jack up the front of the car, then put a block of wood under the radiator, rasing it up 5-10 inchs this will draw the air to the front and out through the radaitor!!

good luck

well tested the thermo last night per the service manual but going by mugens specs. seems fine. I pulled the water pump and it seems "tight".

I figure im going to replace the thermo for good measure as well as the water pump. the pump has 55k on it so I will feel better with a fresh one. also debating on replacing the rad. im still running the stocker

there's two points of which you use to bleed on the car. Make sure you have the heater on full hot when bleeding the system. Takes me 10 min to do in full. What are u using as coolant phil?

well, if you've got a problem with the thermostat or water pump the new radiator won't fix anything. I'd get it working right with the stock first then if you still want swap the radiator.
