Default Liquidgsr Update

So I finally managed to get my car back from the shop. Long story short car dropped a valve last year day after tune at the shop. Motor grenade. I told the shop to build the motor. The owner said okay and it went down hill from there. I lost my job couple months after that and the car sat the shop thinking they were going to fix it. I got into with the shop in the last two months after a lot of bogus ETAs and nothing happened. I went to pick it up yesterday finally after threatening them and I got it in pieces. Block is bare, spare head is missing at sitting at the machine shop since last year in Jun, and other parts are missing. I also had put a 2300 deposit which I plan on getting a lawyer to sue the shop. Now the process starts to get her back together. Kinda lost for words as what to do but it is what it is. Lesson learned.

I'm so sorry to hear this. You've reinforced my already healthy aversion to shops.

Yeah I need to do a inventory of what is missing and go from there. I will contact some local shops that have a very good reputation and see what it will cost to get the ball rolling on getting the motor built. I contacted inline pro. Never again taking the car to shop that isn't local and does not have any sort of rep even if someone with a good rep has mentioned them. I have no respect for the shop at all and I have lost a lot of respect to the person who mentioned the shop to me. Not planning on dealing with either again. Unfortunately it wasn't the persons fault but it was a direct correlation. I have learned saving some money even if it is few thousand is not worth it in the end. I should have towed it home the day the valve dropped and taken it to a shop with a good rep and backing. Even if it was expensive.

Have you thought about a new stock short block, a machine shop for any head work, and the rest yourself? The rest is pretty much "tab A into slot B" with the helms and proper tools. It'll be less expensive and will move at the pace YOU want it to.

Just save yourself the headache of a motor build and just go buy a used stock motor for a few thousand and drop it in your car with the turbo kit to get your car rolling.

Well problem was finding a used 2006+ motor with decent miles to swap over. They are considerably more expensive. I don't have a garage to do the work myself and honestly don't want to anymore. I would rather look around and find someone to do it.
