Default Log manifold cracked twice !

I have a fullblown stage 1 turbo kit , running 8.5 psi on a 2008 AP1, 5857 PT

the first crack was from the welding point, re welded it and it cracked again after 1000 mile but the second time it wasn't from the welding ... a piece from the manifold piping broke which caused a square inch hole :S

from what I read in the forum .. they replace the greddy log manifold with a Pfab log .. but will it fit on my kit without any other fabrications ? ... or is there any other idea ?

so guys please help me what choices do I have ... and hopefuly not gonna empty my pocket I've already spent enough money

thanks in advance

The PFab manifold that's used as a Greddy replacement won't fit your setup. Is your downpipe braced anywhere? Do you have a flex section? Is the turbo making contact with the frame?

the downpipe is not holding anything but the turbo and exhaust .. its not tightened to anything else .. not mentioned in the manual

yes there is a flex section at the end of the downpipe

and no, the turbo is not in contact with anything but I didnt understand which frame you mean

The frame of the car (near the battery/fuse box/etc). How much clearance do you have between the turbo (and manifold) and the frame of the of car?

the battery is shifted to the trunk ... so the frame is far from the turbo, nothing is touching the turbo

I noticed you had issues with misfires and the car running poorly. Please send me your ignition map as well. Might sound weird but if you are blowing chunks off the manifold, the egt must be through the roof due to extremely retarded ignition timing.

Either way we will take care of you. We have to find out what is causing it.
