Keep in mind also, you'll probably need a stand alone EMS to get a better tune....

I'm running 8psi CTSC+AC, with tracysports header, HFC, 5zigen singlepipe, Greddy Emanage Ultimate.

At the 'fly' I'm getting ~390BHP 240 lb ft.

This was the other thing i wasn't to clear on. Sense i drive an 04 i have to purchase the full blown AEM unit (new its around $1500?)

Isn't it possible to run the CT SC without it? Would my setup be not as reliable without a tune? What kind of power would i be looking at with this kit if i didn't purchase the AEM for tuning?

I've been running without it, I just have the Comptech fuel pressure regulator and made 309whp. However, it's too rich down low and too lean up top, not to mention the vtec crossover is way too abrupt there is a lot more midrange to be had with a good tune... soooooo get an AEM! It's not just about peak power, it will primarily give you smoother power delivery and greater reliability, just make sure you find a good tuner.

ehh...

There is nothing wrong with the base Comptech kit out of the box. Yes if you have a bunch of bolt ons and want to play with upping the boost 1-2psi then yeah your going to have some issues running a proper afr, like too rich down low and lean up top. But the base kit out of the box will provide a more reliable FI set up then any full EMS system. You cant touch Honda reliability. There are a few guys in my local club that have been content with the base system, which have run the kit with stock injectors/fpr for 100,000 miles with never any issues. Why would you recommend someone spend $1500 on a full EMS system to want a 280whp 13 sec car? Then to use that EMS you need to invest another $500-700 for a tune, might as well invest another $400 for injectors at this point etc etc. Adds up quick and not always necessary.

BTW your running lean up top, becuase your making 15-20whp more then what the kit was designed for, just fyi. Throw the cat back on or something, problem solved. Also for a little more money ($300) you can use a nifty little piggy back device called a vafc that will lower vtec to where you can get all the mid range to be had, and get some fine tuning on the fuel correction down low where you need it. Hell just to add some contrast to common thought here, this is and has been my tuning set up for years, along with methanol injection. I tapped out the NV1000 with it at nearly 400whp. I want more then 400whp now however so a more versatile engine management and injectors are needed for me at this point.

Just so you will know, I bought a used CT SC kit with a few additional upgrades. I have the 10psi pulley, a big bore throttle body, 650 injectors, test pipe, and an AEM EMS. If you are not in a hurry and can wait, you will find a used kit that meets your needs at a really good price. The install was really easy and the performance is tremendous.
