Can a blown head gasket spray coolant from the block?
Short of that lets pretend we never met I know I'd like nothing more

Do you have an answer
*sigh
well, a blown head gasket is in-between the block and head. so if you have coolant spraying out of your BLOCK, then it has nothing to do with the HG.
if, however, you have coolant spraying out between the head and the block, then yes, it is a possibility as the hg seals coolant passages off from the exterior of the motor as well as from the combustion chambers.
but that would be extremely unlikely as you would need to warp the head very precisely to not effect the cyls, but rather the coolant passages on the outer edges of the head(which would remain the coolest portion of the assembly).
if you have coolant leaking from the block somewhere(below the head), it may by the water pump thats leaking the fluid, or a split hose. other than that, check other areas first as recommended previously in the thread.
