Actually that's a good question. But it's not really a surging issue, it's a backpressure issue. I'm starting to think that running the smaller turbine with a .63AR was a bad move. I'll be making a few calls after the Dragon and see if I can't get a .82AR housing and see what happens on the dyno. Should be a good experament regardless of what numbers come up.

Since you are one of the few here running the "forgoten" LoveFab V.1 kit, I would like to ask you the following:

1.Any issies with the head gasket? Witch one did you use?I heard about COmetic (old, new than agin old design) and Inline Pro

2. How much less power will I make on the "standard" GT30R turbo than you? My compressor says 0.71R so I am lost here

IWhat type of dyno was it?
Why did he add a correction factor that adds almost 20 hp?
I didn't see an answer to my questions.

Sorry, didn't see them at first and forgot about this thread.

It was on a Dynojet and I added the correction so people could make a compairision to dynopak numbers.

Increase your rev limiter to 9000 rpm and you will pick up another 20+ HP. Your power curve is still climbing at cutoff.

I know Sideways is older, but I don't mind if you answer my question as well LoL

I am leaning towards the headgasket solution, but InlinePRO seems not to be selling it as per their home page and I hear only bad stuff about Cometic (why would they otherwise re-design it twice)

Any help?

Rev Limiter is set at 9200, I had a friend driving the car and he just got off it early. I think he was scared

Call Inline if you want the 3mm, they just don't have it listed on thier site. As far as Cometic, I have a 2MM from them and have yet to have a problem. I picked it up about 4 months ago. Not sure if I have a newly designed one or the old style.

My recommendation to you is crank the boost up to 12psi on the stock gasket. Just have your tuner keep the timing backed off a bit, and keep an eye on your plugs.

Is that on the stock valvetrain? I thought that 9300-9400 rpm is where the retainers start having problems.
Also, my A/F is around 11.6 at 8000-8900 rpm and my HP is still peaking and dropping off around 8400 rpm. I lowered my rev limiter to 8900 rpm since there was no reason to take it any higher. How are you guys getting more power past 8500 rpm and still keeping the A/F and timing safe?
