It would have been far cheaper to just add a headgasket and raise your boost.

Good luck with the setup, though. I have no doubts that you will turn a higher HP/psi number. Assuming you are still at stock compression, I think you are right at the limits of safe boost pressure. If for no other reason, the headgasket adds a nice safety margin to compensate for a number of potential issues. Bad/mislabed gas, potential overboosting, etc.

The overall goal is to make the most amount of power as efficiently as possible (least amount of boost, least amount of fuel, least amount of ignition timing, etc.). Adding a headgasket and increasing the boost defies this golden rule. If, at the same boost level, I can simply change out the turbo manifold and make more power than that is the way to go. At some point I will have a 3mm headgasket installed and at that time I will send my head to Laskey Racing for their Stage 3 upgrade:

http://www.laskeyracing.com/shop/portflow.htm

Before I do this, and increase the boost any, I plan on having a custom intake manifold made.

I fully agree with you on the safety margin.

Good luck! You're basically getting an entirely new turbo kit... I won't think that's slight.

You're exactly right. There won't really be anything left from the inlinePRO kit. Hopefully I will be able to sell most of the inlinePRO items.

I'd bank on closer to 35-40 whp over the Inline but we'll see.

Can't wait to see the results.

If I make an additional 40rwhp I'll be happy. Full-Race is VERY confident in their products though.
