Default MAP request.

Looking for a MAP for a srock motor with a 3mm headgasket. I just need to pony it home and then to the install shop. I had the head removed at the dealership and had them install my 3mm headgasket while it was apart. I'm going turbo in the next couple of weeks but needa temporary map.
Thanks in advance.

OT but did the dealership install the headstuds correctly with the moly lube and torque spec?

After a few heat cycles with the turbo in you might want to retorque them and make sure they're to spec. I'll be doing that as well.

They will be installing it today to the proper specs. All of the torque specs came in the ARP stud box with there moly lube. I just need a basemap to get her home.
Will it run at all with lower compression and no EMS??

I dont know but i highly doubt it bro.
If anything it will throw a check engine code, maybe run on limp mode?
If it does run on limp mode it wont let you rev above 3 grand.
I remember when i had a 320 whp tune and i had my installer put the 3mm HG in my car, i had no tune for the HG but still drove it home.
But i BABIED the hell outta her.
Did not go above 3500 rpm.
But am DEF curious also because i will be doing this aswell.

Marcus

Ps. let me know what you do chances are i will be doing it also.

Well it was in the dealership shop due to some stretched valves. While they had the head off I just had them replace it with my 3mm and headstuds. I won't have the car back until next tuesday-wednesday. I obviously won't be able to install the emanage before I get her home, about 3 miles, so am curious if it will pony home. If not I can just have her towed. My main concern is the 50ish miles to the turbo installers place. That could be a sh#% ton of money on a flatbed and really don't want to pay for it if I don't have to.

Mine ran on lower compression (built motor) with no EMS, never went into limp mode or even threw a single CEL, although I did baby the hell out of it. I wouldn't recommend driving it much without some sort of tune though.

I hope to just drive it one short trip and one longer trip. I guess it depends on the initial drive home if I can drive it the second time. I will have someone following me the second time with boxes of turbo stuff just in case. I could always check the rates of a flatbed.
